Day 16 | Sacrifice

READ

Mark 10:43 (MSG)

“Whoever wants to be great must become a servant.”

REFLECT

The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige, and position. God defines greatness in terms of service and sacrifice. True servants make themselves available. True servants pay attention to needs. True servants do the best they can with what they have. True servants do every task with equal dedication. True servants are faithful to their church. True servants maintain a low profile.

RESPOND

True sacrifice means giving more than you think you can afford and trusting God to provide. Are you a true servant? Ask God to increase your faith. Ask God to show you ways you can sacrifice for the sake of others. Consider how you might adjust your lifestyle in order to sacrifice for theMission.

WRITE

We’re not talking powerful prose or professional poetry. Simply write a word, sentence, phrase, or paragraph that helps you remember what God said to you. We would love to hear how God uses these devotionals in your life. Email your thoughts to next@themission.net and post on our socials. We would love to hear from you.

May God bless you today!

Our mission is to know God and help people follow Jesus here, there, and everywhere.
