Day 17 | Broken
READ
II Corinthians 12:9 (NLT)
“‘...My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.”
REFLECT
God loves to use weak people. Everyone has weaknesses. In fact, you have a bundle of flaws. Yet God uses broken people just like you to add value to His Kingdom! If God only used perfect people, nothing would ever get done. You may think you have nothing to give, but through you God will accomplish miracles. He’s done it before. He’ll do it again. He’s simply waiting for you to admit you need Him.
RESPOND
Are you limiting God’s power in your life by trying to hide your weaknesses? Thank God for your past; it’s brought you to this point. Ask God to overcome your weaknesses. Consider that God may use your greatest weakness or hurt to minister to someone else's needs.
WRITE
We’re not talking powerful prose or professional poetry. Simply write a word, sentence, phrase, or paragraph that helps you remember what God said to you. We would love to hear how God uses these devotionals in your life. Email your thoughts to next@themission.net and post on our socials. We would love to hear from you.
May God bless you today!
Our mission is to know God and help people follow Jesus here, there, and everywhere.
