Gifted for theMission

This week, we began a new series, GIFTED.

When Jesus saves you, He doesn’t just give you a new destination—He gives you a brand-new purpose. Salvation isn’t a prize to be won; it’s a gift received through the Holy Spirit. Along with eternal life, God equips every believer with unique spiritual gifts to make a real difference for His Kingdom.

Every One Matters

In 1 Corinthians 12, the apostle Paul describes the church as one body with many distinct parts. We don’t all share the same role, but every single part is necessary. God has intentionally placed you right here in this local church to participate, serve, and advance the gospel. Your gifts aren't meant to be hoarded—they are given for the common good, to strengthen others and make Jesus known.

How We SERVE Together

Discovering and utilizing your God-given role happens best in community. When every member embraces their assignment, the entire church flourishes. We live out this mission when we:

  • See people and recognize our significant task.

  • Engage our unique gifts to help others.

  • Raise up followers of Jesus.

  • Value our relationships with God and each other.

  • Enjoy the mission alongside those we serve.

Your contribution is indispensable. When we step into our roles, communities change, the church grows stronger, and Christ is magnified. You have been saved and uniquely gifted for a mission—it’s time to step into it.

Reflection Questions

  1. Which specific spiritual gifts or natural abilities has God entrusted to you, and how are you currently using them to serve others?

  2. Looking at the SERVE acronym, which area do you need to cultivate most this week?  (See, Engage, Raise, Value, or Enjoy)

  3. What is one practical step you can take today to get more involved in your local church family?
