Day 8 | Reflection

READ

Romans 8:29 (MSG)

“God knew what He was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love Him along the same lines as the life of his son...we see the original and intended shape of our lives there in Him.”

REFLECT

You were created to become like Christ. How has God used His Word to shape your life? It’s been said that “God’s ultimate goal for your life on earth is not comfort, but character development.” Are you more preoccupied with being comfortable than with being the person God wants you to be?

RESPOND

Your character is basically the sum of your habits. Ask God to show you which habits need attention. Ask Him to give you the wisdom, strength, and vigilance necessary to change. Pray that God would make the people of our church more concerned with His glory than our own comfort.

WRITE

We’re not talking powerful prose or professional poetry. Simply write a word, sentence, phrase, or paragraph that helps you remember what God said to you. We would love to hear how God uses these devotionals in your life. Email your thoughts to next@themission.net and post on our socials. We would love to hear from you.

May God bless you today!

Our mission is to know God and help people follow Jesus here, there, and everywhere.
