Day 3 | The Pleasure of God

READ

I Chronicles 16:29 (NKJV)

“Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!”

REFLECT

If praise is recognizing God for who He is and thanksgiving is recognizing God for what He has done, then worship is what happens when we recognize we are in God’s presence. Authentic worship pleases God. It’s more than a song or a service. Worship is the attitude and action of our lives in response to our awesome and almighty God! How will you worship God today? Will you bring Him an offering? Will you surrender to His will? Will you give to Him the glory due His name?

RESPOND

Most people gaze at their problems and glance at their Savior. Ask God to change the focus of your heart and mind. Tell Him you want your gaze to fall on Him alone. Ask Him to help you see people, circumstances, your finances, your job, your life through His eyes.

WRITE

We’re not talking powerful prose or professional poetry. Simply write a word, sentence, phrase, or paragraph that helps you remember what God said to you. We would love to hear how God uses these devotionals in your life. Email your thoughts to next@themission.net and post on our socials. We would love to hear from you.

May God bless you today!

Our mission is to know God and help people follow Jesus here, there, and everywhere.
