Day 13 | Investment

READ

Ephesians 2:10 (LB)

“It is God Himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago He planned that we should spend these lives in helping others.”

REFLECT

You were created to serve God. You were put on earth to make a contribution. The greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God, and the second is to love your neighbor as yourself. You cannot express your love for God without expressing a love for people. If you have no love for others, no desire to serve others, you should question whether Christ is really in your life.

RESPOND

What keeps you from serving God? What prevents you from serving people in your church, in your community? Ask God to show you creative ways you can serve the people of our church. Consider your talents, interests, and abilities. How will you invest in the life of someone else?

WRITE

We’re not talking powerful prose or professional poetry. Simply write a word, sentence, phrase, or paragraph that helps you remember what God said to you. We would love to hear how God uses these devotionals in your life. Email your thoughts to next@themission.net and post on our socials. We would love to hear from you.

May God bless you today!

Our mission is to know God and help people follow Jesus here, there, and everywhere.
