Day 11 | Time Matters
READ
Philippians 1:6 (LB)
“I am sure that God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in His grace until His task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns.”
REFLECT
Living on mission and being fully mature are not the same. It is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. While we worry about how fast we grow, God is concerned about how strong we grow. There is no growth without change, no change without fear or loss, and no loss without pain. God is never in a hurry, but always on time.
RESPOND
In what area of your spiritual life do you need to be more patient and persistent? Ask God to strengthen your devotion to Him. Pray that as you grow stronger, you will influence others to do the same. Ask God to make our church strong and effective. Ask Him to provide our church with the means to serve our community and help people follow Jesus.
WRITE
We’re not talking powerful prose or professional poetry. Simply write a word, sentence, phrase, or paragraph that helps you remember what God said to you. We would love to hear how God uses these devotionals in your life. Email your thoughts to next@themission.net and post on our socials. We would love to hear from you.
May God bless you today!
Our mission is to know God and help people follow Jesus here, there, and everywhere.
